Our Stay and Play is a drop-in session suitable from birth up to age 5. This is a great place to meet other parents, or just enjoy a drink while your little one plays. We have a guide price of £4 for this session. Find out more about our payment model here.

At these drop in sessions, your little one can play and you can have a coffee or meet up with friends. If needed you can access baby weighing scales, get some support with infant feeding, find out about other local services and events, and connect with other parents. Whether you just want to get out of the house, or whether you’re struggling and need some support, drop in to see us.

Let your little one develop, through sensory experience, and explore their creative side! They’ll have a blast using different mediums and textures, and so will you! For young babies you can make art out of their hand or footprints. This session is run by Hayley of HUNION CIC. Just turn up, £5 (sibling discount available).

Wednesdays 1..30-2.30. You can bring your under 1’s to this beautiful postnatal yoga class. You can work on strengthening and conditioning those areas of the body that take the strain during pregnancy, birth and carrying a baby around. Enjoy this nurturing class while your baby plays. No previous yoga experience necessary. Run by SUNSTONE YOGA, each session is £10 and classes are small so Anna can give you personal attention.

Fridays 10.45-11.45 (age 0-5). Not only will this class develop your child’s overall communication skills, but you’ll also learn something too! These fun classes use song, games, craft and stories to introduce Spanish to your little one. Research shows exposure to a different language from birth helps development of communication, and they can keep an ear for that language for years to come! Run by LINGOTOT SOUTH HUDDERSFIELD, Leanne’s classes are £7.

Tuesdays 11.45am-12.45pm. For mothers of 0-2s (older siblings welcome). Come and meet other parents and feel supported in a welcoming space. This class is free but donations do help to keep our space open.

Currently on pause this term! Suitable for all ages, this fun session incorporates nursery rhymes, instruments, games and stories. Guide price £3.50 - you can read more about our guide price here.

Wednesdays 10-11. You can just turn up to this fun session for all ages (yep, you can even wear baby in a sling)! Enjoy a little boogie with your little one, and they can also play with scarves, instruments and enjoy bubbles too. The music is a definite mood-lifter and this is a great way to start your Wednesday. The second half of the session is free play so you can chat and enjoy a drink. Tuesdays, 9.30-11.30am (including school holidays). This drop in is for any breastfeeding parent of any age child (includes combi-feeding, exclusively pumping, and those wanting to stop breastfeeding). This is a friendly, free group for those who need support and those who don’t but just want to make friends with other breastfeeding parents.

FREE. Older siblings welcome. Run by HUDDERSFIELD BOSOM BUDDIES.

Weekend and evenings. If you’re pregnant, Rebecca can help guide you through what to expect from birth and having a newborn. Hypnobirthing is midwife-recommended birth preparation, and will help you and your birth partner feel more confident and informed about giving birth. It’s run by The Nest’s very own Rebecca, through her other venture BIRTH AND BABY HUB

Thursdays 10-11am - booking required.

Learning baby signing in a fun way for you and baby! Baby signing has so many benefits for your baby’s communication development and for your relationship together. Run by Angela of Sing and Sign Huddersfield.

First and third Saturdays, 10-11.30am. This is a Stay and Play for Dads to bring their under 5’s. Enjoy a bit of bonding time with your little one, give mum a break, and chat to some other dads. Free but donations welcome. Funded by the Jimmy Dickinson Fund.
