Location: Remote and some in-person events and meetings at The Nest in Holmfirth

Overview: This role is an opportunity to influence the running of The Nest and shape its future. Working with other committed Directors and staff, you will gain valuable experience of leading, sustaining and developing a small community organisation. Directors take legal responsibility for the governance of the organisation, and this is supported by staff. 

Time commitment: We have around four Director meetings per year, plus ad-hoc events in the year which Directors are sometimes expected to attend. Directors are also involved in correspondence and decision-making in between meetings. Some Directors may take on a specific role (e.g. Chair, Safeguarding Lead etc) which is dependent on vacancy and suitability of skills and experience. The expected time commitment of a Director is in the region of 1-4 hours per week which will vary over the year.
